Recent forecasts from the Finnish Meteorological Institute and international models indicate a highest temperature near 17–18°C in Helsinki on September 9, 2026, under persistent cloud cover, southwest winds of 10–15 m/s, and scattered light rain that limits daytime heating. These conditions align with the seasonal average high of roughly 16.6°C and explain the market’s heavy weighting toward 18°C (59.5% implied probability) and 17°C (36.0%). Model consensus shows little deviation from this range, with no strong high-pressure ridge or clear skies to push readings toward 19°C or above. Updated hourly observations through midday confirm temperatures holding in the mid-teens Celsius, supporting trader consensus that the daily maximum will resolve at one of the two leading outcomes.
