Recent forecast models from the Met Office and ECMWF indicate building high pressure over the UK, favoring drier conditions and reduced shower activity for London through the latter half of May. This follows a mixed early-month period with occasional patchy rain but limited accumulation, keeping totals well below the long-term average of around 50 mm. Trader sentiment reflects this outlook, with closely matched probabilities for 15-30 mm ranges highlighting genuine uncertainty in remaining rainfall intensity. Official monitoring of North Atlantic patterns and daily model runs will drive further shifts ahead of month-end resolution.
