James Talarico holds a commanding 92% implied probability of carrying Fort Bend County in the 2026 Texas U.S. Senate election, reflecting the county's demographic makeup and his consistent polling strength among Hispanic voters, independents, and suburban moderates. Recent statewide surveys, including those from the New York Times/Siena and Texas Politics Project, show Talarico competitive or ahead overall against Ken Paxton, with particular advantages in diverse areas that mirror Fort Bend's trends toward Democratic-leaning turnout in recent cycles. Paxton's 6.5% odds align with his narrower base after a contentious Republican primary. Other listed candidates remain at even odds consistent with limited visibility. Late developments that could narrow Talarico's county edge include shifts in early voting patterns, intensified Republican turnout efforts, or unexpected national events affecting down-ballot preferences before November 3.
