Current National Weather Service forecasts for Dallas on September 21 project a high near 94°F under mostly sunny skies, with a 40% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms as winds shift from southeast to northwest. This setup creates uncertainty in peak temperatures, as earlier or stronger convection could cap readings in the low 90s while delayed or weaker activity allows brief pushes toward 95-96°F. Model consensus from recent runs supports lower 90s overall, consistent with historical September baselines, though elevated humidity may influence heat indices near 100°F. Traders appear to weigh these variables, with the narrow spread across 92-97°F outcomes reflecting the narrow margin between storm timing and diurnal warming. Updated NWS briefings and short-range model runs tomorrow morning will likely refine the exact high.
