Recent National Weather Service forecasts indicate a high near 91°F for Houston on September 9, with mostly sunny skies giving way to likely afternoon showers and thunderstorms. This aligns with the historical average high of 90.5°F and supports market-implied odds favoring the 90-91°F bin. High humidity will elevate heat indices above 100°F, but scattered convection typical of the season may cap peak readings in the low 90s rather than allowing stronger warming. Model consensus shows light easterly winds and no significant tropical influence from the Gulf, keeping temperatures close to seasonal norms. Updated NWS guidance or radar trends on storm timing could shift probabilities within the 88-93°F range before resolution.
