Forecast consensus from regional models points to a peak of 33–34°C in Shenzhen on September 8 under clearing skies after recent light rain, driving the near-even market split between those two outcomes. Subtropical high pressure and light southerly flow favor daytime heating, while low-level moisture and weak steering winds introduce uncertainty over afternoon cloud development or isolated convection that could cap the maximum. Historical September baselines near 31–32°C provide context for the slight elevation expected this year, with traders weighing model runs that differ modestly on exact timing of any showers. Updated guidance from Chinese meteorological sources and international ensembles in the next 24–48 hours will likely refine the narrow range before resolution.
