Recent National Hurricane Center and local meteorological analyses indicate persistent trade wind patterns and afternoon convective activity typical of Panama's rainy season are capping daytime maxima near 30–31°C in Panama City. Model consensus from recent runs shows scattered thunderstorms developing by midday on September 20, which historically limits surface heating and aligns with the market's heaviest weighting on 31°C at 46.5% implied probability. Current observations place overnight lows near 24–26°C with high humidity, setting up modest diurnal ranges, while the absence of strong subsidence or clear-sky anomalies reduces the likelihood of exceeding 32°C. Updated forecasts expected from regional agencies over the next 12–24 hours will refine these temperature thresholds ahead of market resolution.
