This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Incheon Intl Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 2 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=rksi If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event which there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast models and observational trends position 28°C as the most probable high for Seoul/Incheon on September 2, 2026, consistent with the market's 46% implied probability for that outcome.** Multiple sources, including Korea Meteorological Administration guidance and international models, converge on a daytime maximum near 28°C (roughly 82–83°F) under partly cloudy skies with light winds after overnight rain clears. This reflects typical early-September climatology for the region—post-monsoon transition with moderating temperatures, where average highs hover around 27–29°C. Recent developments reinforce this range: widespread rain on September 1 suppressed daytime heating to about 26–27°C across the capital region, but clearing conditions and modest southerly flow on the 2nd support recovery without pushing into stronger late-summer warmth. Forecasts from WeatherBug, WindBorne, Meteoprog, and airport observations align closely on 27–29°C, with limited model spread and only low precipitation chances (under 30%). Higher outcomes like 30°C+ carry low probabilities (under 2% combined) due to insufficient insolation and seasonal cooling trends, while lower readings below 27°C are possible only if cloud cover lingers more than expected. Traders appear to be weighting the tight consensus around the 27–29°C band, with 28°C capturing the central tendency of both deterministic and ensemble guidance ahead of official observations. New KMA updates or real-time station data on the day itself could shift sentiment if unexpected cloud or wind changes materialize.
