Recent NOAA and NWS model runs point to overnight lows in the mid-70s for Atlanta on September 1 as the dominant driver behind clustered market probabilities near 72–75°F. A warm, stable air mass with high pressure and light easterly winds is suppressing radiative cooling under mostly clear skies, keeping minimum temperatures above the long-term average of 69°F. Subtle differences among leading outcomes hinge on small variations in cloud cover or wind shifts that could enhance or limit cooling by 1–3°F, while historical analogs show September 1 lows rarely dip below 68°F absent a strong cold front. Updated forecast discussions and model guidance over the next 48 hours remain the key data points for traders.
