Official National Weather Service observations from Central Park confirmed a minimum temperature of 70–71°F on September 9, 2026, aligning with the market’s near-certain outcome. This reflected a warm, stable air mass with light southerly flow and minimal overnight radiational cooling under partly cloudy skies, consistent with late-summer climatology where average lows hover near 64°F. No significant frontal passage or clear, calm conditions occurred to drive sharper drops. The consensus rests on verified station data rather than models, leaving little room for revision unless final quality-controlled records differ from preliminary reports.
