Paul St-Pierre Plamondon leads the market at 71% as Parti Québécois leader amid sustained polling gains for his party ahead of the October 5, 2026, Quebec general election. Recent surveys show the PQ at around 30% support, ahead of the Liberals under Charles Milliard and the governing Coalition Avenir Québec, reflecting voter shifts after François Legault’s January 2026 resignation and the April 2026 CAQ leadership transition to Christine Fréchette. Traders price in Plamondon’s frontrunner status in head-to-head premier preference questions and the PQ’s path to forming government, while Milliard and Fréchette trail at 16% and 13% due to their parties’ lower standing in current voting intentions. Minor candidates remain near zero as their parties poll in single digits.
