This market will resolve to the next individual who officially assumes the office of Prime Minister of Spain by March 31, 2028, 11:59 PM ET. To count for resolution, the individual must receive a vote of confidence from the Congress of Deputies and be formally sworn-in, resulting in the official formation of a new government. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister who does not receive a parliamentary vote of confidence will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Prime Minister takes office by March 31, 2028, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Spain; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Alberto Núñez Feijóo leads the market at 80.5% because consistent national polling shows his center-right People’s Party (PP) ahead of Pedro Sánchez’s PSOE by margins that position PP, potentially with Vox support, to secure the most seats and form a government after the next general election due by August 2027. Sánchez’s position at 13.4% reflects ongoing coalition fragility and multiple corruption investigations tied to PSOE figures and allies that have eroded support since mid-2025. Regional election results in 2026 have reinforced PP strength in key areas, while Sánchez’s public commitment to seek re-election has not reversed the trend. Lower-priced alternatives such as Santiago Abascal and regional leaders remain marginal because coalition arithmetic and party structures favor the two main national contenders. Trader consensus incorporates these polling patterns and institutional timelines without assuming an early dissolution.
