Singapore's National Environment Agency outlook for drier conditions across the first half of August points to daily maxima of 33–34 °C on most days, driven by reduced cloud cover and occasional windy spells that limit daytime cooling. In Singapore’s equatorial climate, peak temperatures typically occur under clear skies with low wind shear; current model guidance and recent station readings near 33–34 °C (93 °F) reinforce this range. The market’s heavy weighting toward 32–33 °C reflects the historical August average of roughly 31 °C and the modest probability of brief showers suppressing the daily high on the 9th, while the smaller share for 34 °C or above accounts for the possibility of stronger insolation if winds remain light. Updated NEA briefings and regional model runs in the next 48 hours will provide the clearest signals ahead of market resolution.
