Current National Weather Service forecasts for Houston indicate an overnight low near 78°F on September 5 under continued humid conditions with dew points in the mid-70s, light variable winds, and partly cloudy skies following daytime highs in the low 90s. This aligns closely with the market's leading 78-79°F outcome, reflecting persistent late-summer warmth where high moisture content limits radiational cooling. Recent model runs show limited spread, though slight variations in cloud cover or localized showers could nudge the minimum into the 76-77°F range. Historical September lows average around 75°F, but the current pattern of elevated heat indices and suppressed nighttime drops supports trader consensus on the upper-70s bin while assigning secondary probability to cooler outliers only if an unexpected frontal passage develops.
