Recent forecasts from NOAA-aligned sources and major models show Seattle's overnight low for August 30 centering near 54–56 °F, just below the 1991–2020 climatological average of 55.5 °F. Persistent onshore flow from the Pacific marine layer, combined with residual moisture and extensive low-level cloud cover following Saturday showers, is moderating nighttime radiative cooling. Light southerly winds and a stable boundary layer further limit temperature drops, while any partial clearing could allow brief dips toward the low 50s. Trader consensus reflects this narrow range, with 52–53 °F and 54–55 °F buckets capturing the bulk of probability because model guidance clusters tightly around these thresholds. Minor differences among leading outcomes hinge on the precise timing of cloud breaks and wind shifts in the final hours before dawn—factors that can shift the minimum by 1–2 °F. Historical precedent shows August 30 lows rarely fall below 50 °F without stronger cold-air advection, keeping tail probabilities low.
