Tomáš Portlík holds the leading position in the trader consensus for the next Prague mayor, driven by the SPOLU coalition's (ODS and TOP 09) strong organizational edge, including a candidate slate heavy with sitting district mayors and a platform centered on accelerating housing construction, transport improvements, and school capacity ahead of the October 9-10, 2026 municipal elections. The outgoing council coalition of SPOLU, STAN, and Pirates ends with current mayor Bohuslav Svoboda, while opposition lists remain more fragmented, with Petr Hlaváček (STAN) as the clearest secondary contender and lower probabilities for figures such as Adam Scheinherr, Klára Sovová, Václav Láska, and ANO's Jan Hušbauer following the latter party's mid-campaign leadership change. The indirect selection process—where the new 65-member council elects the mayor—keeps outcomes sensitive to final seat shares and post-election negotiations, with limited recent polling or major events yet producing decisive separation among viable paths. Late-campaign developments, including turnout patterns in key districts or coalition signals, could still alter implied probabilities before council formation.
