Recent National Weather Service and private forecast models converge on a sunny, high-pressure pattern with light southerly flow driving a daily maximum near 100°F in Dallas on September 6, 2026, positioning the 98–99°F and 100–101°F bins as the clear market leaders at 45.5% and 25.5% implied probability. Above-normal temperatures follow several consecutive days of 94–100°F readings, with dew points supporting heat indices near 105°F but minimal cloud cover or precipitation risk. Historical September averages near 92.5°F underscore the anomalous warmth, though small model adjustments in steering winds or boundary-layer mixing could still shift the peak by a degree or two before resolution. Updated NWS briefings and afternoon model runs remain the key near-term catalysts for traders.
