This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the King Abdulaziz International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 4 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=oejn If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Recent forecasts for Jeddah on September 4, 2026, show daytime highs clustering around 36–38°C under stable high-pressure conditions, sunny skies, and persistent northwesterly winds typical of the Red Sea coast in late summer.** Models from sources like WeatherBug indicate potential peaks near 38°C (101°F), while others such as PredictWind and Meteoprog lean toward 35–37°C, aligning with the market's top outcomes (38°C at 41%, 37°C at 25%, 39°C at 19.5%). These reflect the consensus from numerical weather prediction ensembles, which incorporate current sea-surface temperatures in the Red Sea, low humidity variability (around 40–50%), and minimal cloud cover that allows strong solar heating without significant modulation. No major synoptic shifts, such as an intensified heat dome or unusual wind patterns, have emerged in the past 48 hours to push probabilities toward 40°C+ or below 36°C. Historical September baselines for Jeddah average near 36–37°C maxima, providing context for why traders assign the highest implied probabilities to the narrow 37–39°C range. Updated model runs closer to the date will likely refine these odds, particularly any revisions to boundary-layer mixing or local sea-breeze effects.
