Forecast models and official National Weather Service guidance point to a high near 91°F in Houston on September 10, 2026, aligning with the market’s leading 90-91°F bin at 62.5% implied probability. Persistent tropical moisture and an elongated ridge favor scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms that limit full insolation, while southeast winds and high humidity (dew points in the mid-70s) moderate peak heating close to the 1991-2020 daily average of 90.3°F. Earlier September readings in the low to mid-90s reflect the broader warm pattern, yet increased Gulf moisture and diurnally driven convection have introduced slight cooling potential compared with drier analogs. Traders appear to weigh the narrow window for exceeding 92°F against the high likelihood of cloud cover and precipitation interrupting the daily temperature climb before sunset.
