The primary resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting.Recent US-Iran negotiations, including a May 2026 memorandum of understanding announced by the Trump administration, have centered on limits to Iran's nuclear program, with Washington pressing for removal or destruction of Tehran's highly enriched uranium stockpile as a core condition. Iranian officials have repeatedly denied any commitment to surrender or export the material, describing it as entombed under rubble from prior US and Israeli strikes and emphasizing that details remain unresolved or postponed. IAEA reports through June 2026 highlight persistent gaps in verification access and continuity of knowledge over the stockpile, while a 60-day window after the initial accord was set aside for technical talks on disposition. These factors—coupled with Iran's stated positions on sovereignty and enrichment rights—have shaped trader consensus around low implied probabilities for a public agreement to relinquish the stockpile by the June 30, 2026, resolution date. Further diplomatic rounds or shifts in verification demands could still influence outcomes within the current timeline.
