Recent polls for the September 20, 2026, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Landtag election show the AfD maintaining a steady lead at 35-36 percent, with the SPD holding second at 28-29 percent across multiple surveys from Infratest dimap and INSA. This positioning underpins the market's strong consensus on the SPD for second place. The incumbent SPD, led by Minister-President Manuela Schwesig, has narrowed the gap slightly in summer polling while other parties remain further behind, including the Linke at 11-12 percent and the CDU at 9-10 percent. No major campaign events or shifts have altered these standings in recent weeks, with smaller parties like the Greens, BSW, and FDP polling near or below the 5 percent threshold and showing limited movement toward second place. Trader pricing reflects these stable vote-share trends and the resulting likelihood of the current ranking order.

This market will resolve to the political party that wins the second-greatest number of seats in the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (Landtag) as a result of this election.
If voting in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern election for the Landtag does not occur by January 31, 2027, this market will resolve to "Other".
The named parties or coalitions will be primarily ranked by the number of seats won in the specified election.
