Thailand's Constitutional Court accepted an ombudsman petition on March 18, 2026, to examine whether barcodes and QR codes on February 8 ballots compromised vote secrecy, voting 6-3 to proceed with review. The Election Commission filed its April defense detailing data-separation safeguards and fraud-prevention measures, after which the court ordered expert reports due in late April and additional evidence by April 30. No ruling has emerged since, and the new parliament under Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has continued normal operations. This deliberate timeline, combined with the court's historical pattern of preserving electoral outcomes absent clear, widespread irregularities, underpins trader consensus that invalidation remains unlikely before the June 30 resolution window.
