Official forecasts from the National Weather Service place Miami’s September 17 high near 88°F amid an 80% chance of showers and thunderstorms after morning hours. Persistent easterly flow and elevated moisture favor widespread convection that can reduce insolation and cap afternoon temperatures through evaporative cooling and cloud cover. Model runs show close agreement on steering patterns but diverge on exact timing and coverage of storms, creating the narrow spread between 86–89°F bins that dominate market pricing. Historical mid-September averages near 89°F provide context, yet active tropical moisture this season increases the likelihood of earlier or heavier rainfall limiting the peak. Updated NHC and local model guidance overnight will refine convective timing ahead of resolution.
