Recent National Weather Service model runs and ensemble guidance indicate Seattle's September 15 high will likely fall in the mid-60s, with marine air and lingering cloud cover from a weak frontal passage capping daytime heating near 64–67°F. The near-even split between the 64–65°F and 66–67°F bins reflects minor differences across deterministic and ensemble solutions regarding the exact timing of any afternoon clearing and boundary-layer mixing. Historical climatology shows an average high of 71°F, but current onshore flow and elevated dew points are suppressing temperatures several degrees below normal. Traders are weighting the latest 12–18 UTC model cycles most heavily, with limited upside risk unless rapid clearing occurs before peak heating.
