Recent National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts indicate Seattle's August 31 high will likely fall in the mid-70s under mostly sunny skies and light northerly winds, following morning marine influence and partial clearing. Official guidance from NWS Seattle projects upper 60s to mid-70s, with some model runs reaching 75–77°F amid reduced cloud cover and offshore flow. Trader positioning reflects this narrow spread, driven by typical late-August variability in the marine layer depth and Puget Sound thermal moderation that often caps peaks near 72–76°F. Key upcoming updates include the next NWS forecast discussion and afternoon model runs, which could shift implied probabilities if afternoon insolation or wind patterns deviate. Historical late-summer highs average near 75°F, underscoring the modest upside risk currently priced.
