This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Helsinki Vantaa Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 13 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=efhk If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Current forecasts from multiple models and agencies indicate a daytime high in Helsinki on September 13 most likely between 15–17°C, with 16°C as the consensus peak.** This aligns with the market-implied probabilities, where 16°C leads at 63% followed by 15°C at 24.5% and 17°C at 11%, reflecting aggregated trader assessment of ensemble outputs. Climatological context supports this positioning: the long-term average high for the date is approximately 15.9°C, and mid-September typically features moderating Atlantic air masses with limited diurnal warming under variable cloud cover. Recent observations show stable conditions with highs around 15–16°C on September 12 and no strong warm advection or clear-sky radiative heating expected to push temperatures notably higher. Key variables include forecast model agreement on weak pressure gradients and possible light precipitation or cloudiness, which caps afternoon maxima near 16°C. Outliers in individual runs allow modest probability for 15°C if more cloud cover develops or 17°C under clearer skies, but the narrow spread keeps probabilities concentrated. Updated model runs and official briefings from the Finnish Meteorological Institute in the next 12–24 hours represent the primary near-term catalysts that could refine these market-implied odds.
