Official National Weather Service forecasts for Los Angeles on September 13 point to a high in the upper 70s to low 80s, driven by strengthening onshore flow from the Pacific that is replacing the prior high-pressure ridge and pulling in cooler marine air. Morning low clouds and fog typical of the marine layer are expected to clear by midday, limiting afternoon warming, while recent extreme heat earlier in the week has given way to near-normal conditions for mid-September. These dynamics align with the market's heavy weighting toward the 78-79°F outcome, as traders incorporate model consensus and historical analogs showing limited potential for outliers above 82°F absent a sudden shift in steering patterns.
