National Weather Service forecasts from the Los Angeles/Oxnard office indicate a Saturday high near 80°F at coastal stations like LAX, with downtown areas potentially reaching the mid-80s under mostly sunny conditions and light southwest winds. Onshore marine flow and a lingering marine layer are moderating peak temperatures after recent days with highs in the mid-to-upper 70s at the airport, while model consensus shows limited inland heating before increased clouds and a slight shower chance develop later. These conditions align with the market's strong weighting toward 80-81°F as the most probable outcome, reflecting traders' assessment of official guidance and typical early-September climatology for the region.
