**Persistent southwesterly flow ahead of an approaching cold front, combined with extensive cloud cover, showers, and strong winds, is the main driver keeping maximum temperatures in Amsterdam on September 4 clustered around 19–22 °C.** Official guidance from KNMI and short-range model consensus (ECMWF, HARMONIE, GFS) show a frontal system crossing the Netherlands on Friday, with the warm sector limited to early hours before cooler, moister air arrives. This setup favors widespread stratiform rain and reduced solar heating, capping daytime highs near or slightly above the long-term September 4 average of ~20.4 °C at Schiphol. Recent model runs indicate peak readings most likely between 19–21 °C under the rain, with brief breaks potentially allowing 22 °C if insolation increases; probabilities above 23 °C or below 19 °C remain low given the entrenched maritime air mass and high dew points near 17–18 °C. Traders are therefore concentrating implied odds on the narrow 21–22 °C band, reflecting the tight forecast spread and limited upside from the frontal dynamics.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=eham
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
