**Current forecasts from multiple models point to an overnight low near 14–15°C for Cape Town on September 9, 2026, driven by southerly winds and clear to partly cloudy conditions under a strengthening high-pressure system.** Spring climatology shows typical September minima of 10–12°C, but recent days have featured variable readings (5.9–13.9°C), with the latest data reflecting milder Atlantic-influenced air and limited nocturnal cooling. Trader consensus around 11–13°C likely incorporates model spread, historical precedent for occasional cooler pockets near the city, and ongoing monitoring by the South African Weather Service. Key resolution hinges on the official station minimum, with updates expected through the evening as temperatures bottom out.

To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
