This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the London City Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 10 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=eglc If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Recent forecasts from sources like the Met Office, Yr.no, and others indicate an overnight low near 11–12°C early on September 10, with daytime highs around 19–21°C under mostly cloudy skies and light southwesterly winds.** This positions the daily minimum close to the market’s leading outcomes (13°C at 44% and 12°C at 42%), reflecting trader consensus on modest radiative cooling overnight. Key scientific drivers include persistent high pressure supporting stable conditions but with increasing cloud cover that limits nighttime heat loss compared to clear skies. Light winds (around 2–5 m/s) reduce mixing, while urban heat island effects in London typically add 1–2°C relative to rural areas. Dew points near 10–11°C and humidity above 80% further moderate temperature drops. Model consensus shows little disagreement on the broad pattern, though small variations in exact cloud timing or wind could shift the minimum by 1°C. The near-even split between 12°C and 13°C highlights genuine uncertainty in the final observed value, common when forecasts cluster near resolution thresholds. New official guidance from the Met Office or updated ECMWF runs could refine this ahead of the overnight period. Historical September lows in London average around 11–13°C, providing context for the current setup.
