Recent polls ahead of Berlin’s September 20 Abgeordnetenhaus election show Die Linke leading at 19–22 percent, leaving CDU and AfD clustered for second place amid volatile results from Forsa, Infratest dimap, and INSA. Incumbent CDU mayor Kai Wegner’s withdrawal shifted the race to new lead candidates Stefan Evers for the CDU and Kristin Brinker for the AfD, while the governing CDU-SPD coalition faces low approval and potential exclusion from power. Trader consensus prices CDU highest for second followed closely by AfD, reflecting narrow gaps in vote intention and uncertainty over late swings in turnout or coalition signaling that could reorder the middle of the field before election night.
