**Current NWS and model consensus point to a minimum temperature in the low 60s°F for New York City on September 6, driven by clear skies overnight, light northeast winds, and radiational cooling following a daytime high near 75–76°F.** Northeast flow is advecting cooler maritime air, with dew points dropping into the mid-50s supporting efficient heat loss after sunset. Historical September 6 averages near 64.5°F provide context, but recent model runs show slightly below-normal readings. Market-implied odds favoring 66–67°F (48.5%) and 64–65°F (33.5%) reflect trader caution around potential forecast adjustments or station-specific readings, while lower bins capture tail risks from stronger cooling or measurement variance. Updated guidance ahead of the overnight period will likely refine these probabilities.
