SpaceX's June 2026 Nasdaq debut at a $1.75–2.1 trillion valuation, driven by Starlink revenue growth, Starship progress, and its xAI integration, has anchored trader consensus at 94% implied probability that its IPO market cap exceeds OpenAI's. OpenAI remains private with its latest funding round at roughly $852 billion and continues to target a late-2026 or 2027 listing near $1 trillion, limited by higher cash burn and less mature commercialization. While SpaceX's public multiple reflects demonstrated hardware scale, realistic scenarios such as OpenAI achieving stronger enterprise adoption or a compressed timeline could narrow the gap before either company fully settles post-IPO.
