Chung Tung-chin, the incumbent Miaoli County magistrate running for re-election on November 29, 2026, holds overwhelming trader consensus at 88.5% implied probability, reflecting his strong local base and prior independent victory in 2022 despite limited formal party backing. The Democratic Progressive Party's nominee, Chen Pin-an, trails sharply at 4.5%, consistent with the county's recent electoral patterns favoring non-DPP candidates. Limited liquidity on other entrants keeps their shares near even money without signaling meaningful shifts. No major new polling, endorsements, or scandals have emerged in recent weeks to alter positioning ahead of the vote.
