Chou Chun-mi holds an 87% implied probability as the Pingtung County Magistrate election winner, while Su Ching-chuan sits at 13%, reflecting trader assessment of the November 28, 2026, contest. As the Democratic Progressive Party incumbent first elected in 2022, Chou benefits from established local organizational support and name recognition after defeating Su by a narrow margin in the prior cycle. The Kuomintang's nomination of Su as its candidate has produced limited movement in pricing, consistent with historical patterns in this county where DPP candidates have maintained an edge despite competitive races. No major shifts in party coalitions, polling, or candidate field have emerged since the February 2026 announcements confirming the main contenders, leaving structural factors such as incumbency and voter turnout patterns as the primary drivers of current market consensus.
