Current National Weather Service and model consensus points to a mid-90s high for Atlanta on September 5, with surface observations and guidance showing persistent ridging, light easterly flow, and subsidence limiting mixing under mostly sunny skies. Afternoon heating indices near 105°F reflect elevated dew points around 70°F, while a 20-30% thunderstorm chance could produce brief cooling or localized outflow boundaries without widespread relief. This setup aligns trader-implied probabilities clustering on 94–97°F bins, as historical September averages near 86°F contrast with the ongoing early-month heat anomaly; resolution hinges on official Hartsfield-Jackson maximum readings amid minor model spread in convective timing.
