Recent forecast model runs from sources including the Met Office, PredictWind, and GFS ensembles indicate clearing high pressure over Cape Town following a cut-off low that brought cooler, windy conditions earlier in the week, supporting a warm spring day on September 8 with ample solar insolation and light variable winds. Daily maximum temperatures are projected in the 23–29°C range, with ensemble spreads reflecting minor differences in boundary-layer mixing and sea-breeze timing that could shift the peak by 1–2°C. Historical September baselines average near 18–21°C, making current guidance notably above normal and explaining the dispersed market probabilities across 23–29°C outcomes as traders weigh model consensus against resolution criteria for the official daily high.
