Forecast models from the National Weather Service and private providers converge on a maximum near 95°F for Houston on September 20 under mostly sunny skies, light southeast flow, and only a 20% afternoon shower chance. This setup reflects typical late-September subtropical ridging with minimal cloud cover or frontal influence to suppress daytime heating, consistent with recent daily maxima of 94–95°F. Heat-index values near 100–102°F underscore the moisture contribution, yet dry conditions overnight limit any overnight recovery that might alter the peak. Trader consensus heavily favors the 94–95°F bin at 52% implied probability, with 92–93°F as the main alternative, reflecting low model spread and the absence of disruptive weather systems through the resolution window.
