Recent National Weather Service and model consensus forecasts point to a high of 66°F for New York City on September 23, driven by persistent northeasterly flow and extensive cloud cover that limits daytime heating. This setup follows cooler conditions on September 22, with northeast winds of 15-20 mph and gusts to 30 mph further moderating temperatures below typical late-September averages near 75°F. Trader positioning reflects high confidence in the 66-67°F bin as the most probable outcome under current atmospheric conditions, while lower-probability outcomes account for potential model shifts or minor forecast revisions before the date. Updated guidance from the National Weather Service is expected to refine these details in the coming days.
