The market-implied odds reflect the official recorded high temperature of 31°C for Panama City on September 16, as confirmed by meteorological observations from regional monitoring agencies. In Panama’s tropical maritime climate, daily maxima typically range between 29°C and 32°C during mid-September, driven by consistent solar heating, high humidity, and limited seasonal variation near the equator. This outcome aligns with historical September baselines from long-term station data, where deviations above 33°C remain uncommon without anomalous high-pressure systems or reduced cloud cover. The near-certain trader consensus indicates the measurement has been finalized and publicly reported, leaving minimal scope for revision unless subsequent quality-control adjustments alter the peak value.
