**Latest National Weather Service forecasts for Los Angeles on September 16, 2026, indicate a daytime high in the mid to upper 70s under typical early-fall conditions.** Onshore southwest flow and the marine layer are expected to produce morning low clouds or fog, limiting afternoon warming and keeping temperatures close to the 1991–2020 climatological average high of 76.2°F. Recent model runs show modest agreement around 75–78°F, with no strong offshore winds or heat-dome patterns to elevate readings. This scientific consensus underpins the market’s heavy weighting toward 76–77°F (49.5%) and 74–75°F (28.0%), while the thin tail probabilities for 80°F+ reflect the low likelihood of rapid marine-layer clearance or stronger easterly flow. Updated NWS guidance and afternoon observations will be the key near-term drivers of any shifts in implied probabilities.
