Forecast models from agencies like MetService and international sources indicate a high near 16°C for Wellington on September 15, driven by northerly winds advecting milder air masses under partly cloudy conditions. This aligns with spring climatology, where September maxima average 12.5–15°C, and places the day slightly above baseline. Consensus across ensembles shows limited variability, with peak readings expected midday to afternoon before winds strengthen. Trader emphasis on the 16°C outcome reflects this stable outlook, tempered by minor model spread that could allow a 15°C or 17°C result if cloud cover or wind shifts differ from projections. Updated runs overnight will refine the final maximum.
