**Latest Met Office guidance and supporting model runs position a 24–25 °C peak as the most probable outcome for London’s maximum temperature on 14 September.** Afternoon readings are expected to reach these levels under a mix of cloud and sunny intervals with light southwesterly flow, keeping conditions above the seasonal average while falling short of heatwave thresholds. Ensemble forecasts show limited spread, with only modest upside risk to 26 °C if breaks in cloud allow greater insolation. Traders have priced this consensus directly, assigning the highest implied probabilities to 24 °C and 25 °C while discounting both cooler and significantly warmer scenarios ahead of tomorrow’s official observations.
