Persistent dry conditions under the prevailing Southwest Monsoon, with southeasterly to southwesterly winds and below-average rainfall, are supporting elevated daytime highs across Singapore in early September 2026. Official Meteorological Service outlooks project maximum temperatures of 33–35°C on most days, occasionally exceeding 35°C, consistent with recent model runs showing afternoon peaks near 33°C on September 8. Historical September averages hover around 31.6°C, making the current setup unusually warm. Limited cloud cover and minimal convective cooling from showers further favor readings in the low-to-mid 30s range, aligning with the market-implied 74% probability on 33°C and secondary support for 32–34°C outcomes. Updated forecasts from the National Environment Agency or NEA will provide the next key data points ahead of resolution.
