**Current forecasts from multiple models position the highest temperature in Wellington on September 18 at 14–15°C as the most probable outcome.** Recent runs from sources including the Met Office, WeatherBug, and regional guidance show daytime highs reaching approximately 14–15°C (57–59°F) under partly cloudy skies with light northwesterly winds and only a low chance of showers. This aligns closely with the market-implied probabilities, where 15°C leads at 43% and 14°C follows at 30%. Springtime conditions in Wellington are shaped by the passage of weak fronts and variable winds; the current setup features northerly flow moderating temperatures without strong warming or cooling advection. Historical September averages hover near 13–14°C for daily maxima, so the forecast represents a modest positive anomaly driven by recent pressure patterns rather than an extreme event. Model consensus remains tight, with limited spread in peak values, supporting the concentration of probability mass around 14–15°C. Updated official guidance or the next model cycle could refine these values ahead of the date.
