KB Home (KBH) faces a high probability of missing consensus EPS estimates for its fiscal third quarter ending August 31, 2026, with the market-implied odds reflecting expected sharp year-over-year declines driven by softer housing demand. Analysts project EPS around $0.89–$0.90, down roughly 44% from $1.61 in the prior-year quarter, alongside revenue near $1.30 billion versus $1.62 billion, consistent with the company’s guided range of $1.20–$1.35 billion in housing revenue amid lower deliveries and compressed margins. Recent quarters showed mixed results, including a Q2 2026 EPS miss, amid elevated mortgage rates, affordability constraints, and a softer spring selling season that prompted narrowed full-year guidance. The September 22 earnings release serves as the immediate catalyst, with trader consensus pricing in these sector headwinds and limited upside surprises.
