Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for Denver on September 16 points to mostly cloudy skies and a forecast overnight low in the upper 50s, with the minimum temperature likely occurring in the pre-dawn hours under light winds and moderate humidity. This setup, influenced by a lingering moisture plume and limited radiational cooling, underpins trader emphasis on the 51°F-or-below bin as the leading outcome while elevating 54–55°F as a close second. Historical September climatology shows average lows near 49°F, yet current conditions reflect warmer-than-normal advection, keeping higher bins at low implied probability. Updated model runs and any late-day observations could still shift the exact minimum before midnight.
