National Weather Service forecasts for Miami point to a high near 88°F on September 18, driven by persistent easterly flow, elevated moisture, and scattered showers with thunderstorms that moderate daytime heating. High humidity will push heat indices above 100°F even as actual air temperatures remain in the upper 80s, consistent with late-summer climatology for South Florida. Model consensus favors this range, though variable storm timing and coverage introduce uncertainty that could allow brief clearing to push readings into the low 90s or keep them capped lower. Traders’ heavy weighting on the 88-89°F and 90-91°F bins reflects this narrow forecast envelope ahead of the next model update cycle.
