Trader consensus favoring a price decline for Mega Charizard Y ex by August 31 reflects post-release cooling in the Ascended Heroes set, where the Special Illustration Rare chase card saw strong early demand but has faced gradual softening amid broader modern TCG corrections. Several months after the January 2026 launch and April restocks, increased supply and reduced FOMO have weighed on values, consistent with recent weekly movers showing dips in comparable Charizard ex cards. No major promotional events or new sets are slated before month-end to reignite momentum, leaving seasonal summer lulls and investor caution as dominant forces. Traders view the 70.5% implied probability as a measured bet on continued stabilization rather than a sharp reversal.
